In this blog I’m going to give you insight on what to expect with this New Moon in Aries and my recommendations to leverage the powerful energies it brings. Plus I’ll share a New Moon Ritual that you can use to ground your next set of goals and intentions. It’s a time of renewal and rebirth and with an Aries New Moon you want to go BIG!
This is the first New Moon of the Astrological Cycle and is in Aries. Aries is depicted by a Ram and is known for his determination, drive and at times being headstrong and stubborn. Be mindful of being direct and upsetting those who are more sensitive around you.
As with all New Moon’s it’s a great time to reflect, we’ve all been through a time of huge change and growth over the last 12 months, so take a little time to look back on your experiences and identify what you have learnt. This will be key for when you set you new goals over the next couple of weeks.
If you missed setting your 6 month intentions with the Spring Equinox then use this Moon’s energy to create your NEW future. Out of all the New Moon’s this one has the most potency for growing our ideas, granting our wishes and bringing our goals into reality. This is the Moon I’d recommend reaching for the stars and spend time thinking about what you REALLY want your life to be and what you’re WILLING to change.
Ensure you set very clear intentions ideally with a few action steps (even if general) to create motivation and give you focus to get there. Having something to focus on other than the news and social media at this time will help relieve any underlying tension you may be picking up from others in general.
CAN YOU CREATE OR BIRTH SOMETHING NEW NOW?
As we’ve just gone through Easter, a time of rebirth you may find a surge of ideas and fresh creativity coming through. Write these flashes of inspiration down and reflect on what feels aligned and exciting. From there you can plant the seeds and take the steps to create growth.
As restrictions are being lifted in the UK it’s time to get outside more, use this time to move your body, reconnect with nature and get fresh air. Some of Aries attributes are impatience, restlessness and frustration, so movement is a great way to release stagnant energy.
MY TOP TIPS FOR THIS NEW MOON
🌙 When setting your NEW SEEDS or GOALS visualise them already in your life, really spend time feeling into this with every part of your body. How do you feel having your dreams in your life – Contented, Fulfilled, Happy? Identifying the target energy is really KEY to manifesting and helping you achieve your goals.
🌙 Thinking out of the box for new ideas – Look at what your competitors are doing, can you create something similar that works online too?
🌙 Spend some time going through your ‘To Do List”. Getting jobs ticked off that perhaps you’ve been putting off for an age – Decluttering, Painting the house (that’s mine), Deleting emails that are clogging up your inbox. These will all help create space in your life AND a sense of achievement.
🌙 Have you moved your body today? Try to do something active every day, this helps with mental health as well as physical.
🌙 Spend time with immediate family but also honour your alone time – Establishing your ‘Alone Time’ zones is something that will be needed to maintain balance.
🌙 Show gratitude wherever possible with others, for the planet and ourselves.
🌙 Dealing with your ego will be a challenge for you if your taking new action. Awareness of your ego’s tricks will help, start to note these down as they can change – Procrastination, Over planning and Perfectionism are a few that are common.
🌙 When you catch yourself in one of the egoic patterns stand back and view as an onlooker, let the ego know you intend to continue anyway and then carry on. Persistence is the key to getting your ego on board and taking continual small steps towards your goals. Don’t allow the ego to distract you and trust that your action is aligned to your higher purpose.
NEW MOON RITUAL
🌙 Light a candle or some incense, grab your pen and paper and a brew
🌙 Now take 5 mins to calm your mind and breath slowly in and out
🌙 Take a look at last months intentions – Did you achieve all that you set out to? Do you need to remove points that no longer resonate with you?
🌙 Write your new intentions out as if you already ‘HAD’ them in your life and also thinking about how it will feel to have them too – THIS IS A KEY ASPECT TO THIS RITUAL
🌙 Say them out loud to the sky and then ‘Thank’ the Universe for all that you currently have in your life.
🌙 If you wanted to feel the energy of this new moon you could place a bottle of still mineral water in glass out for 3 days – a day before till a day after the new moon and then enjoy over the next week. If placed in pure white spirits it will last longer.
